Time is a look into the connection between the perception of time and the photographic image. We follow the story of Joey Kaplan, the son of the legendary tattoo artist and photographer Big Joe Kaplan, as he continues adjusting to life after spending 18 years in prison. Street photography became a vital part of his process, as he found that he was not only well suited for it — the time he spent incarcerated made him more alert to his surroundings and value the power of the photograph — and the rush of going out into public to capture the moment filled the excitement void that leaving prison created.
